Everything starts with the comprehensive understanding of the project and its requirements. The next step is to gather information about the users using various methods such as user interviews, identifying user goals and a robust competitor analysis.
After gathering information and data, it’s time create user personas based on our research findings. Affinity mapping and empathy mapping would help to organise insights and data gathered, find hidden patterns and prioritize issues and solutions.
Using prototyping tools including Figma, Sketch, Invision and others is a way to give all the gathered information a basic shape by creating wireframes, lo-fi mockups and interactive prototypes and defining the hierarchy of the elements.
Testing can help to understand how successfully users carrying out tasks and is an essential part of the process. There are various usability testing methods to choose from in order to see if there are any flaws in the product, and see if the product meets user's expectations.
This phase involves deploying the product or feature to users, followed by continuous monitoring and performance assessment. Post-launch evaluation is conducted through the analysis of key metrics (such as those provided by tools like Amplitude and Hotjar) and the collection of user feedback.
IMPROVING THE USER JOURNEY BY INTRODUCING UX AMENDS IN BOTH THE PLATFORM AND MOBILE APPS.
My role as the UX designer in a fast paced agile environment, required efficiency and a very well organized day to day pipeline plan. From conducting different UX research methods to writing user stories, from prototyping to testing and evaluating, I had to improve the overall user journey and make the experience more user friendly.
COMPLETE RE DESIGN OF THE PLATFORM. NEW UI GUIDE LINES AND UX IMPROVEMENTS.
As the product lead my responsibility was to improve the product and find out what works and what doesn't for the users. To do so I had to do user research, competitor analysis and use various testing methods such as user testing and A/B testing. Based on the results UX amends were made and new functionalities added to the platform making the overall journey easier for the users.
MOBILE AND TABLET DESIGN FOR VARIOUS CLIENTS
I worked with various projects including mobile and tablet design. I designed mobile apps from the scratch or improve the already existing ones. I had the chance to work with the platform to improve the usability of the interal users. Working with the platfrom required to use HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and JavaScript.
The app unveils the second phase of the brand’s commitment to delivering an extraordinary customer experience online and addresses the continued growth in the number of customers preferring to shop Selfridges.com from their smartphones and tablets.
The app made the clients vision reality. Using an effective prototyping process, it was made sure that the app is both beautiful and intuitive to use. I also made sure to research the competitors in order to help the app stand out. I listened to feedback and iterated through designs until customer was happy.
